The event,<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cachc.ca\/?page_id=1896\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Medicare@50: Our Healthy Future and the Role of Community Health Centres<\/em><\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">brings together over 200 health leaders from across Canada to discuss and plan efforts to improve access for Canadians to people-centred, community-oriented primary health care.\u00a0At the association&rsquo;s Annual General Meeting, in Saskatoon, CACHC&rsquo;s membership also passes a strengthened <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cachc.ca\/?page_id=3678\" target=\"_blank\">set of ByLaws<\/a>, endorses the association&rsquo;s strategic vision and priorities, and acclaims an expanded and diversified <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cachc.ca\/?page_id=256\" target=\"_blank\">Board of Directors<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Other key achievements take shape during this productive year, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In partnership with three other national Community Health Centre associations, CACHC officially launches the new<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifchc2013.org\" target=\"_blank\">International Federation of Community Health Centres<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The association conducts its first-ever national research project with CHCs, releasing in September 2013 results from the<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cachc.ca\/?page_id=2655\" target=\"_blank\">2013 Canadian CHCs Organizational Survey<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The association reports to its membership on organizational development via its<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cachc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/downloads\/2013\/09\/CACHC-Annual-Report-2012-13.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">2012-2013 Annual Report: Moving Forward<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">CACHC engages CHCs, partners and the Canadian public in an ongoing conversation about innovations to improve health and health care in Canada via the continuing<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cachc.ca\/?cat=42\" target=\"_blank\">Medicare@50 blog series<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The association collaborates with Community Health Centres across Canada in convening<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cachc.ca\/?page_id=3392\" target=\"_blank\">2013 Community Health and Wellbeing Week<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">to \u00ab\u00a0shift the conversation\u00a0\u00bb about health and health care across Canada.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2013: The Canadian Association of Community Health Centres builds on a very successful first year of operations, hosting in its second year a national conference in September 2013.
