Pay Rate: $23.17 - $27.92 per hour

  • WellFort Riverview Commons Dental – 5 Montpelier Street, Brampton, ON L6Y 0C3
  • Bramalea Community Health Centre (BCHC) – 40 Finchgate Blvd, Brampton, ON L6T 3J1
  • Four Corners Health Centre (FCHC) – 7205 Goreway Dr, Mississauga, ON L4T 0B4
  • Seniors Health and Wellness Village (SHWV) – 525 Main St N, Brampton, ON L6X 3C8

Note: This role requires travel between sites, with work locations varying depending on the day. Regular hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM . However, evening shifts (12:00PM to 8:00PM) and Saturday shifts may be required based on operational needs.

WellFort is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our Health n’ Smiles team!  Health n’ Smiles provides services to under resourced families living in the Region of Peel.

Specific responsibilities: 

  • Prepare all operatories and equipment, including infection control measures, at the start of the day and between clients.
  • Teaches oral hygiene to clients, is responsible, along with the hygienist and dentist for patient education and prevention programs at Health n’ Smiles.
  • Responsible for sterilizing instruments.
  • Performs a broad range of chairside duties
  • Adheres to infection control standards and universal precautions at all times.
  • Maintains dental supplies and equipment according to clinic standards.

Qualifications: 

  • Certified Level II training and in good standing with the ODAA.
  • At least three years experience in a large dental clinic.
  • One year experience in a community dental clinic.
  • Ability to function and work cooperatively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of dental software (Abeldent) programs and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Ability to speak languages relevant to residents of the Region of Peel an asset.
