2008: CACHCA hosts the 7th pan-Canadian Conference on CHCs, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, under the theme “Putting Community in Community Health”. At the conference, CACHCA releases results of a major survey of Canada’s federal political parties, asking them for their commitments on improving access to community-oriented primary health care and achieving the Second Stage of Medicare for Canadians. The results are included in CACHCA-led advocacy efforts throughout the 2008 Canadian federal election period.
