2014 CACHC Annual General Meeting

Thank you to Community Health Centres from across Canada for making the 2014 CACHC Annual General Meeting a success.

Building on the momentum of our first AGM (Sept 2013 in Saskatoon), the 2014 AGM — our first ever “virtual” AGM — was a critical opportunity to advance the collective vision for health and community-oriented, people-centred primary health care across Canada.

Three important national resolutions were adopted by CACHC’s membership during the 2014 AGM:

  1. Renewing and strengthening the role of Community Health Centres as civic agencies that improve democratic engagement. See resolution and action page.
  2. The necessity that the Government of Canada exert a strong leadership role in health and health care across Canada. See resolution.
  3. The need for an adequately-funded, long-term federal housing and
homelessness-reduction strategy for Canada. See resolution and action page.

CACHC’s 2015 Annual General Meeting takes place on September 16, in Ottawa, immediately preceding CACHC’s national conference, Community Health Centres: Agents of Care, Agents of Change.
