Description
Report presents how in Belgium a set of actions have
been developed gradually at federal, regional and local levels that contribute to more equity for health. It highlights that Community Health Centres play an important role and are the starting point for a “Community Oriented Primary Care” strategy. Concrete examples illustrate how this strategy contributes to empowerment and integrates the different sectors in a continuous cycle: gathering information, making a “community diagnosis”, planning actions and monitoring outcomes, involving in every step local community and stakeholders.
